Connecting People to People Supportive Care Solutions
Dr. Kelly Price Noble, MAOM, is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in healthcare, education, and diversity initiatives. She served as the Chair for the College of Health Professions at the University of Phoenix before coming to U.S.VETS as the National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager.
She worked in the VA San Diego Healthcare System’s Spinal Cord Injury Center as the Executive Director of Cal-Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association (PVA) and the National President of the PVA Chapter Executive Directors, then worked with the National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. For seven years, she accompanied the Paralyzed Veterans, testifying in front of the Joint Hearing Committee on Veterans’ Benefits.
As Clinical Researcher at the VA San Diego Healthcare System's Spinal Cord Injury Center, Price Noble worked alongside service connected and non-service-connected veterans with spinal cord dysfunctions. One of her greatest passions is caring for an aging population - identifying quality delivery of patient-centered care.
For over a decade, Price Noble has been researching, hosting events, trying to find a quality delivery plan for aging adults. In 2020, her life took a turn when she began caring her her parents.
For years, I poured my heart into understanding how to care for an aging population, a journey inspired my upcoming book, *A Mindfulness Journey: Caring for An Aging Population*. In 2020, life gave me the chance to turn knowledge into action. I began traveling from my home in California to my parents’ home in Maryland, every month. Some visits lasted a week, others stretched into over a month, depending on how much they needed me. The experience was a profound, often overwhelming. Caregiving is not an easy path—it challenges you in ways you do not expect—but it also deepens your capacity to love.
I think of my mother often during this journey. I watched her care for her mother, her brother, and my paternal grandmother. She shouldered so much, often alone, until the family stepped in to help. Her strength and resilience inspire me to this day. What I’ve learned from her, and from my experiences, I hope to share with others—to remind them they are not alone, and even in the hardest moments, there is grace to be found.
